Performing What-if
scenarios is a vital part of risk management. Strategist can be utilized
to view on-screen hypothetical and what-if analysis. With the availibilty
of trade details, the flexibility to make modifications to Implied Volatility
and real-time Market prices the user can make changes and monitor the
impact on the portfolio. This greatly enhances the traders' ability to
take advantage of market conditions or hedge against adverse market movements.
Mkt - Market price. The number entered is the value used for analysis. Ivol +/- - Implied Volatility. The existing implied volatilities would increase or decrease by the value entered. This method will maintain the existing skew form while incrementing the Implied volatility by the value entered. Days +/- - Days to Expiration. The value entered will increase or decrease the number of days to expiration used or last applied. Domestic % - Domestic interest rate. The value entered will increase or decrease the domestic rate used from the Interest rate table. Foreign % - Foreign Interest rate. The value entered will increase or decrease the foreign interest rate used from the Interest rate table. Gamma - The sensitivity rate with a change of the Delta. Enter the new setting to be used for risk analysis with the What- if scenarios. Vega - The sensitivity rate with a change in Implied Volatility. (Analyzed in the listed currency) Enter the new setting to be used for risk analysis with the What- if scenarios. Theta - The sensitivity rate in number of days for the time erosion of an option. Enter the new setting to be used for risk analysis with the What- if scenarios. Rho- Is the sensitivity rate of a stock option's theoretical value to a change in interest rates. Enter the new setting to be used for risk analysis with the What- if scenarios. After applying the changes in the Term What-if window, the account page will reflect the new entries. Continue making additional changes for any of the terms listed. When entries have been applied the settings remain for reference.
